Heavy hailstorms usually occur in summer, mainly during thunderstorms. Hailstones in Belgium can easily reach 2-4 cm in size.
The record stands at 8 cm on 6 June 1998. The largest hailstone ever fell in America and had a diameter of 20.3 cm.
A hailstorm can cause a lot of damage to cars. This damage can almost always be repaired 100% with the P.D.R. system (paintless dent repair). In recent years, we have repaired a large number of cars that were hit by a heavy hailstorm.
